Mr Kaypee's Restaurant: A work in progress

When I first said in the intro that Mr.Kaypee started this restaurant with just a stove, I literally mean it. After typhoon ondoy last september of 2009, he didn't have the equipment or the proper facility to run his restaurant. Inspite of this setback, Mr.Kaypee persisted "just armed with a stove, wit and his passion for authentic indian cooking". My love for good food also led me to the discovery of this hidden gem that only a few indians knew and frequent.

Fast forward today: with the continuous support from friends specially from pinoy sites such as pinoy exchange, the restaurant is slowly being refurbished and renovated to make your dining experience a better one.

Top left photo shows a new aircondition unit was installed, middle photo a variety of softdrinks will be served soon courtesy of coke and photo below shows a fence is being built which will be covered with plants.

And this is just the beginning...

Mr.Kaypee would like to thank all his guests and friends for their support!

Have you visited Mr.Kaypee's restaurant lately? Now it's your turn to try his food! Visit Mr.Kaypee now!

Mr.Kaypee's Chapati Bread

The chapati bread is a staple of indian diet, made from "atta" or whole wheat flour, a little water and cooked in a flat skillet called tava.
One ingredient that Mr. Kaypee adds to his chapati is called ghee, or pure clarified butter.
From what I know, no restaurant uses it here, why? because ghee is expensive! Only a small dab of ghee and it can definitely enhance the flavor of the chapati.
Depending on what he prepared for the day, it can be dipped in a variety of sauces or chutney from Mr. Kaypee's arsenal of dishes!
Try one now! Call or text Mr.Kaypee for availability
